As of the 1st of January 2025, we have taken the tough decision to introduce deposits on all bookings of work over £100 (VAT Included)
Since opening in 2022, we have not requested deposits on any work booked in with us, as we have trusted agreements for time and dates for the services we offer here at Podium Detailing with customers via email, messages or phone calls but over the past couple of years, we have lost thousands of pounds in potential work from customers that have simply not turned up and do not respond to phone calls, emails or messages which as a relatively new small business, we rely on work to provide to the staff and costs of running a business.
We very much appreciate all customers that have kept to the agreements made without deposits involved and regular customers who know us well that have always been in support of us to request deposits.
Deposits made will come off the final cost of the bill for the work being carried out, we also appreciate life can sometimes throw some unexpected curveballs that will require you to reschedule a booking, which we will always allow up-to 3 rebooking attempts to get the vehicle to us, deposits made will be non-refundable after three attempts and communication with us is key when needing to rebook.
If a deposit is made with a no-show and no attempt to reach out to us to regarding needing to rebook, you will lose your deposit and need to rebook under a new deposit.
This is something we have been reluctant to do but with a huge increase of no-shows in 2024, it has given us no other option due to the loss of work.
We are hoping that by introducing deposits for our services, it will cut out the "tyre kickers" and time wasters.
